What Is Soft Washing?
Soft Washing is a cleaning technique used for exterior surfaces of buildings, such as roofs, siding, stucco, and decks. Unlike pressure washing, Soft Washing relies on a lower-pressure solution to kill and remove lichen, moss, algae, mold, mildew, and other microorganisms without causing damage to the surfaces being cleaned.

Soft washing is favored over pressure washing for certain applications such as cleaning cedar shingles, stucco, vinyl siding and painted surfaces because it omits the risk of surface damage from high pressure. Power washing pummels the surface with water while soft washing gently applies a surfactant-based product that cleans and protects growth of microorganisms for months, prolonging how often the surface needs to be cleaned. Which, in turn, cost less money! It’s even eco-friendly and uses less water than a traditional pressure washer.
